Bridging the gap between the train and platform

The high-speed trains of the German Rail have been using folding steps from Dowaldwerke GmbH for years. These days we look upon these folding steps as the first generation of our wide range of entry aids. Since then, we have been featuring various new drive and guidance systems for sliding steps and sliding ramps. We develop the hardware and software for our products ourselves within our corporate group.

We not only supply standard systems for adapting to your equipment, but also special applications.

• controlled either via CAN bus or Ethernet interface
• communication with the customer’s control system
• parameterised and adjustable reversing and detecting functions
• obstruction identification down to 70 mm below the running plate
• can be used as a running plate and gap bridge
• the extension path can be adjusted via CAN bus or control system for each vehicle stop
